February 22nd & 23rd, 2020

Join us for the ninth annual Pheasants Forever “Bird Dog Classic” weekend competition, youth event and banquet.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever Mission: Pheasants Forever is dedicated to youth outdoor education and events, the conservation of pheasants, quail, and other wildlife through habitat improvements, public awareness, land management policies and programs.

This “Bird Hunters United” sanctioned trial will include both flushing and pointing breeds during this two-day event. Saturday’s competitions will consist of open and amateur pointing and flushing divisions as well as youth and ladies pointing and flushing. There will also be an Open Doubles for Pointing and Flushing event on Saturday after the pointing divisions are complete. Sunday will be day 2 of the open and amateur pointing and flushing divisions. Each dog signed up in the open and amateur pointing and flushing divisions will have one run on Saturday and one run on Sunday.  The winners will be determined by the combined Saturday and Sunday times and scores.  Each dog will get 3 sets of High Honor points in the  BHU circuit, one for Saturday’s field placement, one for Sunday’s field placement, and one for the overall combined scores and times placement.

Each dog and it’s handler will compete on a defined course with a 3 bird timed set. Scores are awarded for birds found and pointed or flushed, shells shot, birds shot and retrieved to hand once in your game bag as required by division rules.

See Competitions & Schedule page for more details and entry forms. If you are bringing a guest to the Pheasants Forever Banquet with a paid run, please fill out this form.
